About Steph

Steph Shuff was born and raised in Jupiter, Florida, a coastal town in Southeast Florida. She attended college at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and the Environment. 

​

Steph has worked in a variety of industries and roles—however, one thing remains a constant throughout her professional and personal life: Steph is a storyteller.

​

Beyond her deep love of writing and producing, Steph is a mom, a certified SCUBA diver, an experienced rock climber, a one-time triathlete, and an avid traveler. She is passionate about finding the world's best beach sand and the perfect bowl of ramen.

Steph currently resides in Port St. Lucie, FL with her partner TJ and their four children.

  • As Senior Director, I managed all member lifecycle marketing campaigns for Inspire, a patient community, research, and real-world evidence data platform with 3 million patient members and 10 million annual visitors.

  • Primary channels included email, SMS, in-app messaging, push notification, paid and organic search, paid and organic social, Google display advertising, and web.

  • Developed data-driven content and digital marketing strategies for all patient touch points including awareness, conversion, onboarding, engagement, research recruitment, and re-engagement.

  • Implemented strategies for multivariate testing, personalization, audience segmentation, and campaign optimization.

    • Key Results: Reduced email costs while improving deliverability and engagement metrics; launched in–app messaging and SMS channels; deployed AI and marketing automation to reduce marketing costs by $200,000/yr over 3 years; improved CPC ad audience quality; improved patient recruitment timelines.

  • Partnered with product and engineering teams to select, integrate, and optimize company-wide use of marketing, content, and AI-based technology tools to improve member data fidelity, channel mix, personalization, automation, testing, scalability, efficiency, analytics, and reporting.

  • Developed and optimized cardiometabolic and diabetes management content for patients using Livongo’s award-winning remote monitoring programs to manage their diabetes, cardiovascular disease, weight, and more.

  • Partnered with marketing, clinical, and product teams to improve member lifecycle campaigns across product, email, paid and organic social channels, and through payor-client partnerships.

    • Key results: Increased new member conversions and program activations; improved health program adherence; reduced overall healthcare costs for employer and insurance payors; launched Medicare/Medicaid program content; improved SERP rankings.
